Hi everyone! Today in math we are going to work hands on with fractions. We are going to split up into groups of 3 and work at 5 different stations around the room. We should have time for every group to go to each station.
One station will be at the computers in the room. You will be visiting this site. This is a great way to SEE mixed numbers and improper fractions.
Another station will be working with fraction manipulatives at the U table.
A third station will be at the SMARTBoard playing this really fun game called Cookies for Grampy. You create one whole cookie by adding fractions with unlike denominators.
The fourth station is working on creating real life fraction word problems. The group will come up with some hum dingers and we will post these on the blog.
The final station is a work station with me-- we will be working out problems that we could see on our quiz tomorrow!
